With such a terrible obesity problem in our country in both children and adults, many parents want to give their kids a headstart on fitness habits that last a lifetime. The natural choice for many concerned parents is recreational and team-oriented athletics programs like our children's cheerleading classes in Murrieta, and San Jacinto. What parents may not realize, however, is that sports and activities like cheer, tumbling, gymnastics and dance are more than a physical workout, but a mental one as well! For young children especially, these activities teach teamwork, confidence, coordination, focus, coping, organization, and a myriad of social skills. Great, so why not head down to the nearest recreation center and sign them up for a sport? Many communities don't offer a wide variety of choices for sports and activities. While bigger urban centers and higher popular areas like the Greater Los Angeles area, San Diego, Riverside County, Orange County, and the Inland Empire usually offer many activities like cheerleading at So-Cal Cheer Cheerleading Programs smaller or rural parents may be out of luck. What are some age appropriate activities that parents can suggest to their children?Ages 2 to 3
Ages 4 to 6
After this age, and often within this age group kids are able to move onto team sports and activities: Ages 7 to 10
